When to Pack for Upcountry.
When it comes to living at the center of the city, there is much glory and glamour. Nonetheless, the excitement cannot last forever and you will desire to live in a quiet environment at some point. Expect a change in priorities once you grow at a family as well as personal level. Even though you wake up and decide it is time to move to the rural area, chances are you will regret your decision later and that is why the move should be planned. Consider your reason for the move and the challenges and merits which come with the decision.
One of the things which tell that you that you are ready to live upcountry is the preference of nature over nightlife. However, if you still want to enjoy swimming, fitness centers, walkways for dog and other modern amenities, you do not have to move out of the city completely. Before you make a decision to move to remote places, move to a smaller town and live there for some time to weigh whether it is right for you or you need to find another option.
The expenses are high when you are living in big cities and if the income you are getting is not enough to cover your expenditure, you will be living in misery. If you are tired of spending all your income in meeting rent expenses, bills, and other expenditure, the suburbs are a good option so that you can save. If your expenses are too high such that you cannot afford to save for emergencies, you need to make serious lifestyle changes to allow for this. A move to the suburbs might be a lifesaver.
There is too much noise in the city given the high number of industries, vehicles, and events. Once you make a move to a quiet town, your mind will be at ease because you will not have to deal with such. You can stay outside at night to watch the stars and if you have kids they will not have difficulties falling asleep because of the sounds of honking cars. You will not make adjustments to the noise readily at first but you will find that your life becomes easier over time.
Traffic is not an issue you will be dealing with when living in a small town. You can sleep for those extra hours in the morning because you do not have to worry about traffic.
