Hi John, thanks for the comments. I did mention the Olympics was a controversial topic, I don't expect anything to happen there. Things like plastic water bottles and junk mail, though, seem pretty obvious.

Al Gore doesn't really seem like a good model for sustainability. Look at all the air travel to Copenhagen, and what did that accomplish? Nothing.

Ben, I think we all worry about that. I doubt that world leaders are reading my blog before going to Copenhagen. :)

Still, what's the other option? We've got to keep on doing what we can, as long as we can. It may well get worse before it gets better, but I don't think we've reached the end of the track yet. Keep on keepin' on!

I understand the need to try to stop and/or slow global warming. But looking ahead, I think we need to start seriously considering what will need to be done to clean up the terrible amount of polution along the coastlines that will be inundated by the rising sea level. I can't begin to imagine the amounts of toxic waste that could leach into the seas probably killing what chance we have of survival as a species.
