Watching History has an article that looks at Copenhagen from an historical point of view. Future generations will likely look back on this conference as either a great achievement (or at least a first step towards great achievements) or a great failure. Let's do everything we can to make sure it's the former.
If you want to help, the 350 campaign is a great place to start. This is an international effort to raise awareness and lobby for setting a goal of reducing CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere to 350 parts per million, estimated by scientists as the highest safe level.
They have a global day of action planned for October 24, just five days from now. The goal here is to put as much pressure on politicians as possible ahead of Copenhagen in order to ensure we get the strongest agreement possible. See their site for information on local events close to you.
